Today, I spent three hours teaching English at one of our schools as part of a special school event. I'll be honest—I walked into the classroom with my lesson plans, my flashcards... and a lot of nerves. About 30 seconds later, 40 students shouted, "Good morning, Teacher!" with the biggest smiles on their faces. Just like that, the nerves were gone. We didn't spend the whole lesson worrying about grammar. We played games, laughed at our mistakes, and just enjoyed learning together. By the end of the class, even the shyest students were confidently shouting, "Book!" "Apple!" "Friend!" But the moment I'll remember most happened right before I left. One student looked at me and said, "Teacher, today we learned to be brave." Then another smiled and said, "And we learned that you are our friend." I honestly wasn't expecting that. It reminded me that learning a language isn't really about speaking perfect English. It's about having the courage to open your mouth and try. Sometimes that's all it takes. And sometimes, the teacher walks away learning the biggest lesson of all.
